Position: Executive
Director
Unique
Qualities: Always laughing out loud at his own jokes
and kidding around. Reading obscure technical materials for
enjoyment... (hint: try a novel Scott)
Hobbies: Goofing
around with computers (bet you figured that), excursions to the
beach, motorcycle riding, incessantly teasing Holly (see below),
taking care of his turtle “Buddy”, cross-country
excursions and photography.
Scott
has been running small businesses since he was 10 years old. “I
got my start in snow shoveling and graduated up to mowing lawns,
from there I never looked back”:)
Many
years later, Scott still found himself intrigued with the idea
of working for himself and started a commercial cleaning company
in 1992 which he successfully expanded to 8 staff. Two years
later, in 1994, seeing an opportunity and a need in the medical
community, he quickly set his sights in another direction. Launching
a successful marketing campaign into the medical practice management
field, he quickly established his company as a trustworthy and
reliable medical practice management firm, managing millions
of dollars in receivables for a dozen physicians.
Five
years later, with a technology boom in full swing, he had the
opportunity to enter the high-tech field as a Software consultant.
Leveraging his financial experience, he started
consulting for Fidelity National Bank in Boston. Seeing the potential
to
establish
himself as a lead consultant in the Boston area, he started his
own software consulting firm and returned to his first love,
computers.
Over
the next five years he served as a Technical Software Consultant
for major corporations in the financial and technology markets.
Latter projects, saw him at the helm, managing technical quality
for none other than "Ask
Jeeves” & “Teoma”,
both major Internet search engines.
Having
ascended to the top of his field in 5 short years and successfully
ridden the technology tidal wave, he decided to cash in his chips
and take that elusive vacation he had been meaning to take for
the past 10 years.
A
year and a half was spent traveling across the US and pursuing
personal interests with his fiancee. Having settled in Clearwater,
Florida he has come full circle again and returned back to the
small business sector with his newly formed Web Development and
Marketing firm, ClearTech. If past performance is any indication
of things to come, the future looks quite bright for this upstart
company.
